Voice Wealth Management is a financial services firm whose team is focused on helping busy professionals, entrepreneurs, and their families with financial planning and wealth management. We help our clients make better financial decisions so they can spend less time worrying about their money and more time doing things that add more value to their lives.
How are we different?
· No Asset Minimums—One of the things we hear a lot is that “I don’t have any wealth to manage.” There are no asset minimums to work with us. Your wealth could be negative (because of student or other debt); we recognize that you might need help managing that situation too. The sooner you start making good decisions, the more likely you are to reach your success!
· Dealing with Emotional Aspects of Money—No matter what anyone tells you, money is emotional. Professional poker players, traders, and successful business owners will tell you that once you start letting emotions get in the way of making good decisions, you’re toast. We recognize that people (ourselves included) need to lean on independent help to get through our own money issues to get the success we ultimately want. We are not licensed therapists, but what we do can sometimes feel like financial “therapy”.
· Family—We are nowhere without family. My 8-year-old son records and directs our YouTube videos. We are in this business because of supportive family and we always put them first. It’s our job to make sure that you live the best life you can with the money you have.
· Entrepreneurship—We are fascinated with how to make businesses work, especially your next big idea. We want to help, but we also want to remember that your family is also like a business you’re a stakeholder in. That’s why we consider ourselves a “Personal CFO” for you and your family.
Russell D. Rivera, CFA, CFP® is the President of Voice Wealth Management. He graduated from Harvard University with a BA in Economics in 2000. Russell started his career as an AMEX floor specialist and trader for Goldman Sachs from 2000-2007. Prior to starting Voice in 2013, he worked with APB Financial Group as Head Trader and Market Strategist where he first learned about what became his portfolio philosophy. He was granted his CFA Charter in 2007 and became a CFP certificant in 2016, but hasn’t taken the certificate out of the tube yet.
Personally, Russell is heavily involved in family and community endeavors. He coaches his son’s little league team, is an Ambassador and the Entrepreneurship Council Chair at the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, plays softball, poker, and golf. He has also adopted the Northwestern Wildcats of his wife's alma mater, as his Division I football team. He also does much of the family cooking and the laundry.
