I'm Russell Rivera, founder and President of Voice Wealth Management, and welcome back to this month's Sidewalk Talk. When people often think about financial planning, they think about the numbers, the income, the expenses, the investments, the returns, but of course, when it comes to doing financial planning, it's not all about the math. Sometimes it's about your head and your heart. I've had clients who mentally and logically know exactly what they're supposed to be doing - saving more, spending less, investing in a certain way, putting more money into investments than leaving it in the bank. But at the end of the day, something often holds them back. Fear of making the wrong move, guilt about some mistakes they've made in the past, or something, even non-monetary, that just makes them unsure about how they should handle this portion of their lives, and sometimes that just leads them to feel overwhelmed and stuck.
The question becomes what's holding you back from reaching your financial objectives? That's where the real work can begin sometimes - breaking through the emotional and mental barriers. It's not about how much more money you need to save. It's how do I get myself and allow myself to feel comfortable doing the right things? Because at the end of the day, if you can't actually do the right things, even if you know what they are, you're not going to get where you want to go. A good plan isn't about just having the math on paper. It's about creating clarity and confidence and helping you take action. After that, the math is the easy part.
If you feel something is standing between you and your financial objectives, let's talk about it. Send me an email, give me a call, and we can help you figure out what's blocking you so we can get you where you want to go down the road. I'm Russell Rivera. Thanks for watching, and we'll see you next time.
