AI Knows a Lot, But It Doesn't Know You
A lot of people are using AI to get financial information, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. But there's a gap between getting information and getting advice that's actually built around your life. Russell walks through why that gap matters and what real financial planning looks like when someone actually takes the time to understand who you are.
Topics Discussed:
People are turning to AI for financial advice
AI doesn't know your values or goals
Real financial planning starts with a real conversation
AI works best as a supplement, not a strategy

Hey everybody. I'm Russell Rivera, founder and president of Voice Wealth Management, and welcome back to this month's Sidewalk Talk.
Lately, I've been noticing a trend. People have been telling me they've been using ChatGPT or other AI models to help them try to get some personal finance information. And they keep coming to me and saying, "Well, it's giving me some interesting ideas, but I don't know what to do." Well, I hope not, first of all, and I hope you're not giving it too much information if you are using these tools. But the fact is that AI may have a lot of knowledge, but to me, at this point, it's just a large search engine. But at the end of the day, it doesn't know who you are. It doesn't know what you're trying to accomplish. It doesn't know your family situation. It hopefully doesn't really know what's important to you and what to do with your money because at the end of the day, using money is really about your values.
That's where the human side comes in. Real financial planning is a conversation with another person who is trying to understand what you are about. And hopefully, no computer, no AI agent will ever be able to replace that so we can figure out what you're about, what you need, what you want, what you desire, where you're trying to go. At best, at the end of the day, AI is a supplement.
Once again, I'm Russell Rivera. AI can't tell you what you value. Only a real conversation can. If you'd like to have a conversation with a real human, we can help you figure out what you value, what matters to you, and gives you different ways as to how to achieve it. Look us up at www.voicewealth.com. Set up a consultation and let's see how we can help. Thanks, and we'll see you next time.
